About the BASIC 7.0 SAFELAND WITH OPTIONAL SAFEGULF Course
Optional SafeGulf available for all Offshore personnel. SafeLand Basic 7.0 is a volunteer organization comprised of major and independent operating companies, industry associates, and educators with the purpose of developing a standardized orientation which sets minimum safety requirements for the US Onshore Energy and Petroleum Industry. The BASIC 7.0 course covers high-level, basic safety topics essential to the industry including life saving rules, human performance factors, accident prevention.

Frequently Asked Questions
No, you need to take the class on an Ipad or a computer with a web camera. These are the rules set by Veriforce/PEC. Taking a class on the phone will get you removed from class and no refund will be provided.
Yes and it will state that you meet these requirements on your PEC card.
We can accommodate 15 per virtual class and 25 per instructor with In-Person classes.
If you need added help our instructors are available in the ZOOM class 30 minutes before class begins to help guide you with technical difficulties.
The steps to prepare are lined out in your confirmation email. We also have these steps on our main page. Set up or log into your veriforce account, send your required pictures to your instructor, and ensure that you have downloaded and logged into ZOOM 15 minutes before class begins.
Your class starts exactly at the time you signed up for. All classes are scheduled in the United States Central Time Zone so be sure to check your local timezone for the correct time to be in class. If you are late, we reserve the right to not admit you and you will have to repay the entire fee again. Transfers with less than 48 hour notice will have to pay 50% of the course. Transfers greater than 48 hours notice will get one free transfer.
